Why choose us
At Martin Integrative Animal Clinic, we believe in a different approach to veterinary care – one that merges the best of both worlds, conventional veterinary medicine and holistic healing practices. This approach is known as integrative medicine, and it lies at the heart of our commitment to your pet’s health and well-being.
Our approach recognizes that each animal is unique and that their health can benefit from a variety of healing modalities. We understand that no single treatment fits all, and we tailor our care to meet the specific needs of your furry family member. By examining the physical, emotional, and environmental factors we can provide a more effective and personalized care. Here are a few reasons why integrative medicine matters:
01
Comprehensive Care
Integrative medicine allows us to address not only the symptoms but also the underlying causes of your pet's health issues.
02
Minimized Side Effects
By combining conventional and alternative treatments, we can often reduce the need for strong medications, minimizing potential side effects.
03
Improved Quality of Life
Integrative medicine aims to enhance your pet's overall quality of life, promoting vitality and longevity.
04
Tailored Treatments
We create customized treatment plans for each animal, ensuring that they receive the therapies that best suit their unique needs.
05
Preventive Care
Integrative medicine emphasizes preventive measures, helping to keep your pet healthy and happy throughout their life.
06
Reduced Stress
Many integrative therapies are gentle and non-invasive, which can help reduce stress and anxiety in pets during treatment.
07
Chronic Condition Management
It can be particularly beneficial for managing chronic conditions such as arthritis, allergies, gastrointestinal issues, and cancer.
Meet The Doctor
Dr. Martin’s love for animals started when she was just a kid. Growing up in the Cuban countryside, she had the chance to be close to nature and animals. She spent her time with puppies, kittens, horses, and all sorts of farm animals. The simple beauty of the countryside influenced her deeply. It was there that she learned about the strong bond between people and animals. These early experiences inspired her to become a vet and care for all creatures, from fluffy to scaly.
Now, with over 3 decades of experience as doctor of veterinary medicine, Dr Martin has cared for countless animals. She is also certified as a veterinarian medical manupulation practitioner (CVMMP), using her skills to assess and address musculoskeletal issues and functional limitations in animals.
She strongly believes in alternative medicine, however, it was a personal life altering experience that began her journey with this approach.
